About Rebeca

Portrait of Rebeca Pereira, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

I'm Rebeca Pereira, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) based in Ontario. I offer individual psychotherapy to adults — in English and Portuguese — by secure video, anywhere in the province.

I'm Rebeca Pereira, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in Ontario. I hold a Master's in Clinical Counselling from Tyndale University and a Master's in Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan, where my research focused on family caregivers, dementia, and aging — work published in the peer-reviewed journal Dementia that has taught me how much it matters to feel truly seen in life's hard seasons. I also hold a diploma in Addictions and Mental Health, and my early clinical training included counselling at Pinewood Centre's withdrawal management program in Oshawa — experience that keeps me grounded in the realities of addiction and recovery. My practice draws on evidence-based approaches — including CBT, emotion-focused, and solution-focused therapy — always shaped around you: your story, your language, your pace.

Why I do this work

I practice psychotherapy because I believe people deserve a space where they can feel truly seen, heard, and understood.

Life can bring us through experiences that leave us questioning ourselves, our relationships, or where we belong. My role is not to tell you who you should be or how you should live. It is to walk alongside you with compassion and curiosity as you make sense of what you have been carrying and find your way forward.

For me, psychotherapy is about creating a space where you do not have to have everything figured out before you arrive.

Credentials & supervision

Rebeca Pereira is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

I practice under the clinical supervision of supervisor name and credential — to be confirmed, in accordance with the requirements of the CRPO.

My approach

I work collaboratively, and at your pace. Our sessions are a space to slow down, put words to what's happening, and notice the patterns shaping your life.

I won't tell you what to do — and I won't just nod along, either. I'll ask honest questions and think carefully with you.

Languages

Therapy happens in English, in Portuguese, or in a mix of both — the language you think and feel in. Many of my clients switch mid-sentence. That's welcome here.
